MISSION MASTERCLASS

We will talk you through the whole journey from planning to the execution of UK and global conferences, incentive travel and corporate and private events. We will help you start to build a portfolio of clients and network of quality suppliers and then finally how best to take the first steps to join this fast moving and fun industry, whether you are looking to join an agency, start an agency or look to the opportunity to join Glow as an independent agent.

TUTORS

Your course tutors, Sean Kingwell and Louise Love have lived and breathed this exciting industry for many years organising all types of events globally, with the largest being an event for 7,000 delegates. They have worked in the industry from the ground up, learning the pitfalls and loving the highlights. They have many stories, tricks of the trade and lessons learnt to share on the course.

  • Taking and creating the brief: Keywords, jargon, room set ups, delegate packages – making sure you have all of the info you need to deliver a solid proposal
  • Location, location, location: How to establish the best location UK and globally to match your clients needs
  • How to source the best venue to match your clients brief
  • Understanding and working within your client’s budget

EVENT LIVE BRIEFING ASSIGNMENT
– This afternoon you will be set a live event brief to be assessed on Friday.

AFTERNOON SITE VISIT
The real deal…. Site visit to local hotels – How to conduct a site visit, which questions to ask


DAY TWO

MEETINGS AND CONFERENCES

SUPPLIERS
Finding, contracting and management of suppliers – Contracts / payments / contacts / pulling it all together

ONSITE EVENT MANAGEMENT – LARGE SCALE EVENTS
– Registration / Logistics / Time Management / Delegation / Accommodation
