An unforgettable winter escape to the land of fire and ice. This is Iceland at its most magical — where steaming blue lagoons meet glittering snow, where waterfalls freeze mid-air and the night sky dances with colour. In just five carefully curated days, experience the wild beauty, rich culture and cosy charm of this extraordinary island. From soaking in geothermal waters to tasting tomatoes in a greenhouse and chasing the Northern Lights by boat, it’s a journey filled with contrast, wonder and delight all wrapped up ready to take home with you.

Day 1: Thurs 26th – Arrival & Blue Lagoon Bliss

Touch down in Iceland and begin your adventure with a visit to the iconic Blue Lagoon – a geothermal spa like no other, nestled in a rugged lava field between the airport and Reykjavík. Silky, mineral-rich waters hover at body temperature, creating an ethereal mist that rises into the cool air. While you soak, let the jet lag melt away, apply a white silica mud mask, and ease into Iceland’s rhythm. Whether you’re floating beneath the sky or enjoying a drink at the in-water bar, it’s a restorative start in a surreal setting.

Later, check in at Skuggi Hotel, your Reykjavík base for the next few days. Just moments from the city’s lively Laugavegur Street, Skuggi is a calm and minimalist space inspired by Iceland’s natural tones. Soft lighting, clean lines and thoughtful touches make it the kind of place where you instantly feel at ease.

In the evening, we’ll gather for dinner at Höfnin, a charming harbourfront restaurant in one of the city’s historic fishing huts. Expect Icelandic flavours at their freshest – think light-salted cod, peppered lamb and skyr with strawberry sorbet – all served with warmth and a view of the marina lights.

Day 2: Fri 27th – The Golden Circle with a Culinary Twist

Today is Iceland in a nutshell – dramatic landscapes, geological wonders and some truly unique culinary moments. Our first stop is Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where Iceland’s parliament was born over a thousand years ago. It’s also where two continental plates drift apart, creating visible cracks in the earth you can walk between.

Next, feel the heat at Haukadalur – home to bubbling hot springs and Strokkur, a geyser that erupts skyward every few minutes. Then on to Gullfoss, one of Iceland’s most powerful waterfalls. As glacial waters thunder into the canyon below, the force and scale of it all is hard to forget.

Lunch is served inside a geothermal tomato greenhouse at Friðheimar Farm. This family-run space is warmed by natural energy year-round and is known for its signature tomato soup, served with fresh bread and Icelandic sour cream beneath rows of glowing vines. Optional skewers – chicken, vegetable or seafood – can be added for a heartier bite.

There’s more to taste too – from creamy ice cream made at a nearby dairy farm to traditional geysir-baked bread cooked underground beside Lake Laugarvatn. If time allows, a stop at a mushroom-growing greenhouse adds another layer to today’s food journey.

Tonight, we head out on the water for a Northern Lights Boat Tour. Departing from Reykjavík’s Old Harbour, this peaceful evening sail offers a different perspective of the aurora borealis. With city lights behind us and open skies ahead, we’ll search for those swirling green ribbons that bring people to Iceland from all over the world. If they appear, it’s pure magic.

Day 3: Sat 28th – Reykjavík at Leisure

After two full days of adventure, today is yours to explore Reykjavík at your own pace. The city is compact, creative and full of character – from rainbow-painted streets to striking modern architecture. You might climb the tower of Hallgrímskirkja Church for panoramic views, browse the boutiques and record stores along Laugavegur, or visit Harpa Concert Hall, known for its gleaming honeycomb glass façade.

Feeling active? Reykjavík’s thermal swimming pools are a local favourite – each with a variety of hot tubs, steam rooms and saunas. Or venture beyond the city with an optional add-on: snowmobiling across a glacier, hiking through icy caves, or riding Icelandic horses across frozen fields. However you spend the day, there’s something here to suit every pace.

Your Glow Host will be on hand for suggestions and bookings — as much or as little as you like.

Day 4: Sun 1st – Departure

After a final breakfast at the hotel, it’s time to leave the city behind. We’ll travel by private coach through the wild and windswept volcanic landscape back to Keflavík International Airport, reflecting on a few days that have felt like a world away.
